Setting skills of wireless internet for dual wireless router

Prerequisites, at least one of these two wireless routers needs to have WDS enabled, and we'll select this router as the primary router. The other is a secondary router, which is available even without the WDS feature.

Set method

1. All two routers are plugged in and the extranet broadband cable is connected to the WAN interface of the main router. In order to set the parameters, the secondary router can temporarily access the computer through the LAN port, after setting up, the secondary router can not pick up any network cable (of course, it can also connect to the computer through the network cable).

2. The IP addresses of the two routers are to be set to different. For example, assuming that the IP address of the primary router is 192.168.1.1, you can set the IP address of the secondary router to 192.168.1.20. The method is set to enter the IP address of the router in the browser, enter the username and password (the default value is both admin), go to the Settings page, the left first select LAN port settings, and then on the right to fill in the IP address values (below), select a good point "save".

3. Select the basic settings for the wireless setting on the left side of the router Settings menu, and fill in the name of the SSID on the right. Note that the names of the two routers are different, such as one called Abc-1, and the other is abc-2. In addition, the two routers must have the same channel, and choose to turn on the wireless function and open the SSID broadcast (these are all open by default) (the following figure), select the point "save".

4. In order not to let unrelated others rub the net, two routers have to set the key, set the method can refer to the use of the router instructions, omitted here.

5. The secondary router should be set to "Do not enable" DHCP function, the following figure, select the point "save".

6. The WAN port connection type of the sub-router should be set to dynamic IP (pictured below), click "Save".

7. The main router chooses to open WDS, as shown in the following illustration.

At this point, insert the SSID data of the secondary router in the "(Bridging) SSID". Click "Scan" at this time, after clicking, will appear many nearby other people's Router's MAC address, among them should include own home's deputy router, in oneself that behind point "connection", at this time, The MAC address of the secondary router is automatically filled in the "(bridged) BSSID" column.

8. In addition, in the key type of these columns, according to the actual situation of the sub-router to fill out.

9. The main router on the Internet username and password and other parameters, according to their actual situation fill out. After everything is completed, click Save, restart two routers, everything OK.

10. At this point, the WDS network has been set up successfully, the computer through the secondary router can be online. If you want more than one router to work together, the principle is the same, interested friends can try it on their own.
