In Windows Server R2 Hyper-V, you can provide a completely new way for virtual machines to connect, "enhanced session Mode", which will make it easier for you to operate on virtual machines, such as resolution adjustments, device loading, The most convenient is the file exchange between the virtual machine and the host, which is our usual most commonly used operations copy and paste (not supported by drag-and-drop method).

The enhanced session mode of the virtual machine is not turned on by default, but the open operation is not complicated:

Conditions of Use:

        • The virtual machine system needs to be Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012

        • Remote Desktop service in a virtual machine must be enabled (enabled by default)

        • "Remote Desktop Users" or "local Administrators" group members

        • Hyper-V needs to enable enhanced session mode and allow enhanced session mode policies

The first three conditions are relatively easy to check, the fourth condition is easy to ignore, how to check and enable it?

In the actions navigation bar on the right side of the Hyper-V console, select Hyper-V settings

In the Setup Wizard, locate the 1, Server tab, find "enhanced session mode policy", and in the right option, make sure "Allow gaining session mode" is checked.

2. In the User tab, find "enhanced session Mode", and in the right option, make sure "Use Session Mode" is checked.

When you are sure that all conditions are met, turn on the virtual machine console again and the enhanced session mode is ready to use.

During personal use, the Enhanced Session Mode Setup window will automatically pop up the first time you connect to the virtual, but you won't find the portal if you want to modify the settings later.

Workaround: Close the currently open virtual Machine connection form, in the Hyper-V Server tab, find the "enhanced session Mode policy", uncheck "Allow gaining session mode" in the right option and save, tick "allow gaining session mode" again-OK, The Enhanced session mode Settings window pops up when you open the virtual Machine connection form again.
