Settings for Vim-tab indentation

Vim in the work of a tab width is too large, not changed before the width is 8 characters, want to change to 4, using the following command:

CD ~
vim. VIMRC
Add the following lines: (in parentheses is the command meaning, do not write)
Set shiftwidth=4 (indicates the length of each level indent)
Set Softtabstop=4 (indicates the length of the indent when pressing the backspace bar while in edit mode)

Set Nu (show line number)

Set Autoindent (auto indent)

: Wq
Save exit.
