Several software installation methods under CentOS

1. RPM Package

Installation:

RPM-IVH soft.version.rpm

Update:

RPM-UVH soft.version.rpm

Unloading:

1) Find the package you want to uninstall Rpm-qa | grep XXX

2) For example, find software mysql-4.1.22-2.el4_8.4, execute RPM-E mysql-4.1.22-2.el4_8.4

Install directory for query software: RPM-QL mysql-4.1.22-2.el4_8.4

2. Install package at end of. bin

Installation:

chmod +x ******.bin

./******.bin or directly perform sh ******.bin

Unloading:

Remove the installation directory that you selected during installation to OK

3. tar.gz (BZ or BZ2, etc.) end of the source code package

Installation:

TAR-ZXVF ****.tar.gz

TAR-JXVF ****.tar.bz (or bz2)

./configure (some compression packages have been compiled, this step can be omitted)

Make

Make install

If there is no configure file, directly Make;make install on the line;

Unloading:

Install directory execution make uninstall, if not supported, directly delete the files produced by the installation

4. Yum

Installation:

Yum install-y software Name

Update:

Yum update-y software Name

Unloading:

Yum remove-y software Name

Or

Yum erase-y software Name
