Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) is the core component of Microsoft 2007 Office system by building an Enterprise Portal and implementing powerful features such as teamwork, content management, workflow, business intelligence, and so on.
The installation and deployment process for MOSS 2007 is much like the early SPS 2003, but there are some differences, and the process can be divided into the following phases:

• Installing SQL Server
L INSTALL the. NET Framework 3.0
L Install MOSS 2007
L Configuration MOSS 2007
L Create a SharePoint site
You need to prepare these installers in advance: Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2005,. NET Framework 3.0, Office SharePoint Server 2007. In addition, Exchange is not covered in this article, and you can also deploy the Exchange messaging system on the server side if you want.

II. Deployment of AD environments
MOSS 2007 must be installed in an ad environment, so you need to add the MOSS server to an existing domain or simply upgrade the MOSS server to a DC (domain controller). Here we select the second method to create an ad domain named "contoso.com":
In the server's administrative tools, open Manage Your server:
Click "Add or Remove Roles":
In the Configure Your Server Wizard dialog box, click Next, and select the role you want to add--domain controller (Active Directory):

After the reboot, the server is automatically prompted that it is already a domain controller:
third, install SQL Server
The MOSS 2007 Installation pack has its own SQL Server Express Edition, a free SQL version that can only achieve some very basic functionality. If you want to do more SharePoint applications, such as analytics services, Reporting Services, and so on, it is recommended that you install SQL Server 2005 separately. This process is simple, many 2003-based servers do so, the play is in the back.
