Some netizens raised questions about anonymous access recently on the forum. I would like to take this opportunity to make a summary. First, let's talk about anonymous Website access.
Generally, you can set anonymous access for a website. One is to set anonymous access when you create a web application, and the other is to change the existing website to anonymous access; third, set authentication access and anonymous access for the same website respectively.

1.1 create an anonymous website

Go to "Management Center", click "create or expand web application" in "Application Management ".

Click "Create web application ".

Create a web application with port "7000" and select "yes" under "Allow Anonymous Access" in "Security Configuration ".

After creating a web application, follow the prompts to create a website set ".
Create a collaboration portal named "Windows Chinese site.

After creating a website set, click the website set link to open IE. At this time, you will find that the website cannot be accessed anonymously, and you still need to verify before you can log on. This is because although anonymous access is allowed in the "Web application", the created website still needs to be verified by default. To allow anonymous access to the website, you also need to enter the website for configuration.
In the displayed verification dialog box, enter the Administrator's username and password and click "OK ".

Under the "website operations" menu on the right side of the website, click "website Settings"> "modify all website Settings ".

Click "Advanced Permissions" under "users and permissions"

Click "Anonymous Access" under the "Settings" menu ".

Select the range that allows anonymous access. Click "entire website" here ".

After logging on to the website, you will find that the user name and password are no longer required to access the website. You can access the website anonymously.

1.2 modify the created website to allow anonymous access

In addition to allowing anonymous access when creating a web application, you can also change the created website to allow anonymous access.
First, create a website that does not allow anonymous access.
Create a "Web application" on port 7100 in the "Management Center". The "Security Configuration" is set to not allow anonymous access by default.

Create a collaboration portal named ".

After logging on as an administrator, go to the "advanced Permissions" page of "website Settings" and find that the "Settings" menu does not have the "Anonymous Access" option.

This is because in the "Web application", we set that anonymous access is not allowed, and the website set inherits the settings. Therefore, you must enable Anonymous access settings in the Web application.
Go to "Management Center" and click "verify provider" under "application security ".

Make sure the "Web application" on the right selects the web application we want to modify (the web application on port 7100 is used here). If it is incorrect, click the Small Arrow next to it, click "Change Web application" to modify the web application.
Confirm that "Web application" is correct and click "default ".

On the Edit verification page, select enable Anonymous Access ".

After confirming, follow the steps in the first section to go to the top-level website and enable the "Anonymous Access" setting in "Advanced Permissions" of "website Settings.
Log on to the website and you will see that anonymous access is allowed.

1.3 setting the same website supports two access methods

In addition to the previous two access methods, we can also set a website to support two different access methods, namely authentication and anonymous access. The website in the second section above is used as an example.
Go to "Management Center" and click "create or expand web application ".

Click "Expand existing web application ".

Click the arrow next to "Web application" and click "Change Web application ".

Click SharePoint-7100 ".

Return to the page and you will see port 7100 "Web application" selected"
Enter "7200" in the port of "IIS website"
In "Security Configuration", anonymous access is allowed.

Access the website through port 7200. You can see that anonymous access is used.

The original "7100" port is used for access, and the authentication method is used.
