SharePoint creates content type content types for a variety of purposes. Creating content types is also very simple. 1. Click Site Actions-Site settings.
2. Click on the site content type and click Create.
3. Name Beginning_sharepoint_ppt, descriptive narrative: Template for PPT decks. You can also create new classifications by selecting the parent content type (document content type and document). Click OK.
4. Click Advanced Settings. Ability to upload a specific template to a content type, or provide a link to an uploaded document. Upload to the document library, and then add the URL. Click OK.
5. Create a new document at this point, or navigate to the existing document associated with your own definition template. 6. Navigate to the document library and click Library Settings. 7. Click Advanced Settings and click Agree to manage Content types. 8. Click OK.
9. On the Advanced Settings page, click Add link from existing site content type to add your content type.
10. You can now choose not to display other content types. Click Change the order of the new button and the default content type.
11. Navigate to the document library and click New.
