Next, we will introduce the SLK scoring system.

Scoring Model

Scoring refers to the process of reviewing the course records of learners and setting points. The score is displayed on the grading page. On this page, the instructor can select a course record for the learner to review and then give the final points and comments in the score table.

In the SLKTwo TypesMain scoring models:

1. Automatic and manual scoring in e-learning courseware. Used to calculate and obtain the number of calculated points of a learner course record.
2. The instructor sets the final points of the course record in the score table. The initial value of the final point is the calculated point, but the instructor is allowed to modify the final value. The final number of points will be used as the final score of the course record.

The score only occurs after the learner finishes learning and submits the score. Prior to this (before the course record status is "completed"), the instructor could not edit the final points or perform any manual scores included in the courseware.

The followingExampleShows how the SLK calculates the final number of points.

This example shows the performance of the lrm Courseware in the SLK scoring model.

1. An instructor, Bob, creates an assignment. Assign a courseware to a learner, Joan.
2. When Joan's course records are in the "not started" or "active" status, Bob cannot access the grading view or set the final points of Joan course records.
3. When Joan commits learning, or Bob revokes ("collects") her course records, the calculated points are calculated and set to the initial value of the final points. Bob can now see the number of calculated points in the score table, and the position of the final number is editable. (Computed points = 5, final points = 5)
4. Bob can edit the final vertex value and add two bonus points to Joan. (Compulated points = 5, final points = 7)
5. Bob can click the Joan name in the score table to open the grading view of her course record. He can change the interaction score of the second question from 3 to 4, and set the score to 5 for a non-automatic score.
6. After the frame page is closed, Bob finds that the calculated points in the score table are automatically adjusted based on the modification. At the same time, the change volume is also updated in the final point column. (Computed points = 11, final points = 13)

Points

Points are the basic unit of SLK used to measure learner learning.
The internal "Auto" rating of the CoursewareAlgorithmThe courseware type varies. Therefore, the SLK uses points to display the level achieved by a certain learner. In this way, we have a general point scale, instead of using-1 to 1 here, where 0 to 100.

Possible points

Indicates the maximum value that can be obtained for a given course record. Learners may also get more points (such as special reward scores ).

The number of possible points is set when the instructor creates or edits an assignment. The default value is shown in the following table. The instructor can edit the value at any time, including after the assignment has been created. The number of points may be empty.

In the alwp and SLK assignment process interface, the number of possible points is displayed when a user's score needs to be displayed. Format:

<Number of final points in the course record>/<number of possible points in the course record>

Count

The calculated point value in the SLK is usually from the internal score of the e-Learning courseware. This includes automatic score determination and manual score determination for instructors in LRM. The number of computing points may be empty.

Calculated points are set for the first time when the course record is completed and submitted. Automatic score determination or point calculation for non-eLearning content does not exist.

The calculated points are calculated as follows and stored in attemptitem. totalpoints:

The scores of each automatic score are stored separately in the database for report output. The instructor score initial value for non-automatic score determination is null.
