Shell EOF Attention Point

Source: Internet
Author: User

We use this when sqlplus interacts with the shell.

Su-oracle-c "Sqlplus/as sysdba<<eof
SELECT * from GV ($instance);
Exit
EOF "

This program does not seem to be a problem, the actual execution of the time will be error.

Why?

Because in this way, something in the "content" is parsed.

So $instance has no value, and here we can only see GV.

That's the right thing to write.

Su-oracle-c "Sqlplus/as sysdba<<\" eof\ "
SELECT * from Gv\ $instance;
Exit
EOF "

Enclose the EOF in quotation marks before and after, plus the escape character.
