Execution result:

Conclusion: local variables only work within the function. Changes in the value of local variables do not affect the value of external variables. In addition, the function call must be completed after the function is defined.

Note:

1. When a variable is assigned a value, no space is allowed between the left and right sides of "=.

2. The end of a bash statement does not require a semicolon.
