In the Word2007 document window, you can freely set items such as showing or hiding rulers, gridlines, and Document Map. In the show/Hide group in the View Ribbon, select or cancel the check box to show or hide the corresponding item, as shown in Figure 1.

The ruler includes the horizontal ruler and the vertical ruler, which displays the margins of the Word2007 document, paragraph indents, tabs, and so on, as shown in Figure 2.

2. Grid line
Gridlines can help users align objects such as graphics, images, text boxes, WordArt, and so on in a Word2007 document along gridlines, and gridlines are not printed when printed, as shown in Figure 3.

3. Document Structure Chart
The Document Map is primarily used to display the title outline of a Word2007 document, and users can click a heading in the Document Map to expand or shrink the next level of headings, and you can quickly navigate to the body content of the title, as shown in Figure 4.

4. Thumbnail image
The thumbnail consists of thumbnails of each page of the Word2007 document, displayed as a separate pane on the left side of the Word2007 document page, for quick switching to the appropriate page, as shown in Figure 5.
