Excel tables We often use, when editing, some cells must be filled out, so in order to prevent leakage, or forget to fill in the situation. We usually set the fill color for these cells. That is, when these cells are blank, they are displayed in red, which allows for a missing fill. So how does the Excel cell appear red when it is empty?
There are more versions of Excel, as an example of the 2007 version. First we select the cell to be set, such as the area to be set is A2:A8, then we will choose the area. Cell we can also select cells that are not contiguous, and then click the Conditional Formatting tab on the right.
Then the dropdown option, in the dropdown option, we select the "New Rule" button.
Next, a dialog box pops up, asking us to select the rule type, and we click the "format only cells that contain the following" option in the rule type.
Then you go to the Control Panel of the rule type, and we click on the small inverted triangle behind the cell value on the panel.
Then you'll pull down a lot of options, and in the dropdown option we click on the "Null value" button.
When you select a null value, you return to the Diagram dialog box, and we click the "Format" button below.
After you click the format, a dialog box pops up, and there are a few options for us to choose from, and if we want to set a border or font, we can click the option to set it. Because we're going to set the fill color to red when the cell is empty, so we click the Fill button above the dialog box.
Next we choose a good fill color, such as to set the fill color to red, then click Red, click Red, and then click the "OK" button below.
Then we'll go back to the diagram panel, and we'll still click the OK button. Then we'll go back to the Excel table panel, and we'll see that the A2:a8 cell has turned red, and the color in the cell will automatically disappear when we enter the number, as shown in Figure 3.
