The disk partition uses the FDISK command, which only has permission to use root.

General steps for disk partitioning:

1, first use the DF command to view the device name

Df-h;

2, FDISK/DEV/SDA; <== Press M to display Help

D: Delete a partition

N: Create a partition <== need to specify the starting cylinder number and the size of the partition

P: Print partition Table

Q: Do not save exit

W: Save exit (restart to take effect or use the Partprobe command without restarting)

3. Note When adding a partition:

A, SATA hard drives support up to 15th partitions, and the IDE supports up to 63rd partitions.

B, Fdisk is unable to process more than 2TB of disk partitions, you need to use the parted command.

C, the Fdisk command will give different hints depending on the partitioning situation.
