1. Install Oracle Instant Client

$ Sudo apt-get install oracle-xe-client

The directory after OIC installation is/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/client.

2. Add the OIC installation directory to the/etc/ld. so. conf file, and then execute the ldconfig command to refresh

$ Sudo ldconfig

3. Modify/etc/profile and add some new environment variables.

Export ORACLE_HOME =/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/client

Export LD_LIBRARY_PATH = $ ORACLE_HOME/lib: $ LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Export TNS_ADMIN =/usr/lib/oracle

Export PATH = $ PATH: $ ORACLE_HOME/bin
