Article Title: simple operation output redirection in Linux. Linux is a technology channel of the IT lab in China. Includes basic categories such as desktop applications, Linux system management, kernel research, embedded systems, and open source.
To process a program running result, the stored process is called program output redirection. For example, if you want to store the ls/bin output result in a file/lsbin, you can enter:
Ls/bin>/lsbin
If the lsbin file already exists, the original content in the file lsbin will be deleted after the preceding command is used. You can choose "" to replace ">". In this way, the content in the file lsbin will not be deleted, but will only be output by ls. The result is appended to the end of the lsbin file.
Normally, when displaying file or directory content, the content is scrolled too fast on the screen and we cannot read them very well. One solution is to store the command output and read it with the command more (more is a page-by-page reader ).
You can enter:
Ls/bin> ~ /Lsbin
More ~ /Lsbin
Another solution is to use pipeline technology. This method outputs the input of another command. If you want to send the ls command output to the more command for processing, type:
Ls/bin | more
Ls/bin | less
Of course, you can use different pipeline combinations to execute complex programs.
