Simple settings after Kali Linux Installation

1. Update the software source:

Modify the sources. list file:

Leafpad/etc/apt/sources. list

Then, select the following sources that suit your needs (you can select them as needed, not all of them ):

Save and run:

Apt-get update # refresh the system

Apt-get dist-upgrade # Install and update

2. Install the Chinese Input Method in kali-linux (Any of the following installation methods ):

Apt-get install fcitx-table-wbpy ttf-wqy-microhei ttf-wqy-zenhei # Five pinyin scripts

Apt-get install ibus-pinyin # classic ibus

Apt-get install fcitx-googlepinyin fcitx-pinyin fcitx-module-cloudpinyin # fcitx pinyin logout. you can log on again to use it.

3. Install flash player in kali-linux:

Apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

Update-flashplugin-nonfree -- install

4. Install qq2012 in kali-linux

!!! QQ2012 is unavailable now. You can refer to this kali-linux installation QQ Solution

(1) dpkg -- add-architecture i386

Apt-get update

Apt-get install ia32-libs libnotify-bin ia32-libs-gtk

# Skip this step if it is a 32-bit Operating System

(2) download the library file (alsa-lib ):

The specific download directory is available on/July 15,/July 25,/after the installation of Kali Linux/

Cd to the download directory

Bzip2-d alsa-lib-1.0.26.tar.bz2 & tar-vxf alsa-lib-1.0.26.tar & cd alsa-lib-1.0.26/&./configure & make install & make clean

(3) download and install wineqq2012:

Wget http://www.longene.org/download/WineQQ2012-20121221-Longene.deb & dpkg-I WineQQ2012-20121221-Longene.deb

5. Install the latest iceweasel in kali_linux and perform localization.

Deb http://mozilla.debian.net/wheezy-backports iceweasel-release # Add this software source

Apt-get install pkg-mozilla-archive-keyring # import PGP KEY

Gpg -- check-sigs -- fingerprint -- keyring/etc/apt/trusted. gpg. d/pkg-mozilla-archive-keyring.gpg -- keyring/usr/share/keyrings/debian-keyring.gpg pkg-mozilla-maintainers # New Key Ring

Apt-get update & apt-get install-t wheezy-backports iceweasel & apt-get install iceweasel-l10n-zh-cn

6. install some tools:

Apt-get install gnome-tweak-tool # install gnome Management Software

Apt-get install synaptic # install xinlide

Apt-get install file-roller # install the decompression software

Apt-get install clementine # clementine music player

Apt-get install smplayer # install smplayer

Apt-get install terminator # install multi-window Terminal
