In the Word2010 documentation, the rich flowchart shapes and connectors provided by the AutoShape can be used to produce flowcharts for a variety of purposes, as described in the following steps:
Step 1th: Open the Word2010 document window and switch to the Insert Ribbon. Click the Shape button in the illustrations group, and select the new Drawing Canvas command from the Open menu, as shown in Figure 1.

Tip: You can also insert a shape directly into a Word2010 document page without using the canvas.
2nd step: Select the Drawing canvas, click the Shape button in the illustrations group in the Insert Ribbon, and select Insert the appropriate flowchart in the flowchart type. For example, select "Flowchart: Process" and "Flowchart: Decision", as shown in Figure 2.

3rd Step: Click the Shape button in the illustrations group of the Word2010 Insert Ribbon, and select the appropriate connector in the line type, such as Arrow and Elbow arrow connectors, as shown in Figure 3

Step 4th: Point the mouse pointer at the first flowchart graphic (you don't have to select it), and there will be 4 red connection points around the shape. The second flowchart graphic also appears as a red connection point when the mouse pointer points to one of the connection points and then presses the left mouse button to drag the arrow to the second flowchart graphic. Navigate to one of the connection points and release the left key to complete the connection of the two flowchart shapes, as shown in Figure 4.

Step 5th: Repeat steps 3 and 4 to connect the other flowchart shapes, and the connectors that are successfully connected will display red dots at both ends, as shown in Figure 5.

6th step: According to the actual need to add text in the flowchart diagram, complete the production flow chart.
