　　One, hardware connection (server only need a net card)

Preparation Material:

Operating system: Servers Windows2000 persional or server, Windows Me above (for example, in Windows persional);

Client Windows persional or Server, Windows Me version

Hardware preparation: Both the server and the client use a 10M or 100M network card with the RJ45 interface. A hub (hub) or switch (Swich).

Cable purchase:

Because the suppression of network cable requires special tools (expensive, less use), I still do not recommend their own production. Buy a five-type network cable about 1 dollars a meter, RJ45 Crystal Head about 2 yuan of money about one. We weigh the price to buy it. Network cable needs to be prepared two kinds: one is the ADSL modem and hub connection of the intersection line; the second is the direct connection between each machine and the hub, how many machines to buy how many, length according to the specific distance of each machine to buy.

Network cable Connection:

OK, now use the crossover line to connect the ADSL MODEM to the hub; Connect each computer, including the server and the client, with a direct connection. The following figure:

(Because each ADSL modem has a different installation method for sharing, this is just one of these.) Anyway, the installation of ADSL, the telecommunications bureau bosses will give you a good job. You don't have to know how to connect to a shared device. ）

Also remember to open ADSL service first, if not open even if you bought ADSL modem can not connect. Because ADSL is point-to-point communication, telecom to each ADSL users have to add a set of ADSL equipment. If you do not apply, Telecom will not install the device on the other side of your line.

　　second, network settings

OK, now start the installation. First of all, the card is plugged in, in Windows installed network card driver. How to install? Don't ask, look at your own network card instructions. In the start-Settings-control Panel-Network and dial-up connections Click which connection of your own network card (if not modified, it should be local connection 1) press the right mouse button, select Properties. Then set the following table in the properties of TCP/IP:

If you use a WINDOWS2000 shared connection, the IP address of the server is set to: 192.168.0.1.

After the set up, in the DOS window with Ping 192.168.0.1 or 2, 3 respectively to test the communication between the machine is normal. Under all normal conditions before the next installation!

　　three, Raspppoe installation method

After downloading, first unzip the Raspppoe with WinZip in a directory and start the installation.

Install Raspppoe on the server (ADSL dial-up software) The specific installation method is as follows:

1, enter the Control Panel, double-click the Network and dial-up connection icon;

2, click the icon of your installed network card, press the right button, select Properties.

3, click to Install (I) ... button to install the PPPoE protocol;

4, select the agreement, press Add (A) ... button

5, appear Select Network Protocol window, click From disk Installation (H) ... button

6, in the manufacturer file copy source (C): Fill in the raspppoe you just extracted the directory, and then press the OK button;

7, then appear to select the Network Protocol window, in the window select PPP over Ethernet Protocol, press the OK button, and then always press the next step to the end of the installation, and finally exit this network adapter configuration window.

8, install PPPoE dial-up Connection: Click Start-Run, in the Run window type Raspppoe press ENTER;

9, appears raspppoe-dial-up Connection the Setup window. Please confirm that the ADSL modem power is turned on and connect with the switch (or hub) in accordance with this installation plan before doing so. In Query available PPP over Ethernet Service through Adapter, your network card model will appear. Then click the Query Available Services button. If the connection succeeds, the software can automatically detect the virtual dialing parameters and display them in the bottom box (such as: 6203109 ...). Then select one of the virtual numbers to press Create a dial-up Connection for the selected Service. We have completed all the installation work for Raspppoe here. 10, into the Control Panel, double-click the Network and Dial-up connection icon, to see if there is more than just enter the time a dial-up connection (as shown): OK, now Click this connection to right-click the property.

11, now the window that this dialing property appears, click on the Shared page. Tick before enabling Internet Connection Sharing for this connection, and tick before enabling request dialing. Press the OK button. The shared connection on this server is already installed and configured to complete.

12, double-click ADSL dial-up connection, type user name and password can access the Internet. The client only needs to set up the browser to share the Internet on the server using a LAN connection.
