Part II: Linux installation of the system (in Linux-mint as an example)
At the end of the first part, the virtual machine is created successfully and then the Linux system is installed under the virtual machine, and here I take linux-mint as an example. You need to have the image file for your Linux system ready.
Start this virtual machine first, then enter the following interface.
Click where the red Arrow points (CD/DVD)
Click Settings, tick 1, 2, and then the third step to find the image file for your Linux system. Click OK
now back in the black box
left mouse button-then tap Enter. Next, just wait. The following interface appears.
then click Install (Installs Linux Mint)
Then continue-continue, choose something else.
Next, Linux can be simply placed in a partition, you can also install the following partition scheme:
If you are not satisfied with putting on a hard drive, I search online for a reasonable partitioning scheme, as follows (my virtual hard disk is divided by 30G, the size of my allotted in parentheses.) ):
/boot partition: Used to store the Linux system boot-related programs, such as boot loader, etc., recommended size 100MB. (128M)
/usr partition: Used to store applications on Linux systems with more relevant data, more than 3GB is recommended. (4G)
/var partition: Used to store frequently changing data and log files in Linux systems, the recommended size is 1GB. (1G)
/partition: Linux system with directory, all directories are hanging under this directory, the recommended size is 1GB. (5G)
Swap partition: Implements virtual memory, recommended size 2GB. (2G)
/home partition: The average user's data, is the normal user's host directory, the recommended size is the remaining space.
so my allocation result is as follows:
time zone selection Shanghai
Enter the user name and login password.
Installation .....
Reboot and Wait a while
Don't worry if you're in this situation, too.
then, shut down-shut down the virtual machine-then restart
enter Linux successfully, then everyone can start the Linux journey.
look again, the partitions are as follows
