Smart ABC Input Method: four tips

Smart ABC is a commonly used Chinese Character Input Method for pinyin that is improved based on the full Pinyin input method. I have some experiences and hope to share them with you.

I. phrase Input

When entering words, most people are used to entering all the Chinese pinyin letters of the entire phrase. In this way

A major drawback is that there are too many buttons. In fact, when entering a common phrase, we can only enter the alphabet or initials of the phrase. For example, if you enter "XX", you can quickly get the phrase "school ". However, because the input bitrate of Chinese Pinyin is relatively high, we can choose to make all the words that constitute a phrase when entering a phrase, and some can be simply spelled. For example, enter "xuex" and immediately get the word "school. In this way, the optimal combination of the number of buttons and the bitrate of Chinese characters can be obtained to increase the speed of Chinese Character Input.

2. Self-Creation

During Chinese Character Input, words that are not in the font are inevitable, such as place names, unit names, and names. Should we enter each word one by one? The answer is no! Smart ABC automatically defines a group of Pinyin words we input as entries and stores them in the dictionary. For example, the word "Chenghai City" was not originally in the dictionary. For the first time, we input all the pinyin letters "chenghaishi" and then select a proper word to output the word. In the future, you only need to enter "chhs" to immediately output the word "Chenghai City", reducing the number of times of keys by 7 times. If you repeat the word three times, it will permanently exist in the dictionary. Try it, isn't it amazing? Smart ABC also provides another self-creation method, namely, manually defining new words, but the actual input must start with the letter "U. For example, you must enter "uchhs" in the word "Chenghai City ". This method is difficult to define and input words, so I personally think the previous method is more practical.

3. symbol Input

When entering Greek letters, Japanese Katakana, hirakana, and some common mathematical symbols, we generally use the word insertion function. However, opening the symbol dialog box is generally slow and inconvenient. At this time, we can use the soft keyboard of smart ABC to input. Click the keyboard button on the input method status bar to immediately display the PC keyboard that is consistent with the keyboard letters. Right-click the keypad button to select a variety of special keyboards, such as Greek letters, Russian letters, Chinese pinyin, number numbers, and Common Unit symbols.

4. Pen Input

Smart ABC is not a pure Pinyin input method, but a method that combines audio and shapes. Therefore, if you add the first shape code of the word to the input pinyin, you can quickly retrieve the word. The pen shape replaced by the pen code is shown in the following table:

For example, enter "Wu" and "wu8" to reduce the number of page turning times during retrieval and greatly narrow the search scope.

In fact, as long as we pay more attention, we can find many input skills of smart ABC. There are three ways to insert English words in a Chinese document: ① Add the letter "V" before the English letter; ② press the capslock key to force the input of uppercase English letters; ③ press Ctrl + space to switch between Chinese and English input methods.
