Question 1. About the Iteration number column in the backlog template
Our group can ' t really understand what iteration means even after reading the lecture slides and some online info Rmation. We hope to get help from. Besides, is it OK-to-change the format of the the backlog template? Since the space is not a enough for us to give full information of all stories.
Answer: Iteration means the release cycle, typically each iteration takes 2 weeks. It's the same meaning as the Sprint in Agile project management. In the Product backlog template, you should fill with the iteration number, e.g. story A was in the iteration 1-means story A Should is completed in the first iteration (the first 2 weeks). And YES, feel free to change the format of the product backlog template.
Question 2. About the simulation software mentioned in handout
In Part.6 demonstration, it's mentioned that we'll demonstrate the funtion of our software, tracking train live location , which'll is done through software simulation. Our group member is wondering so how would the simulation software work to test the tracking function, which would influe nCE the the-software.
Answer: Actually I am going to give a tutorial on the the next teaching week. For-now does not has to worry about it too much as it's not a core function. Just to give you a bit of idea, simulation can is done using sample data. Progress bar to simulate the current location of the train, your may use 1 minute to simulate an one hour dur ation. Details would be given in the tutorial and before the demonstration.
Always has the core functions working first.
