July 23 software Distribution management artifact Secure Delivery Center Free Technology Exchange, myeclipse the original manufacturers, please focus on!
In the software Distribution Manager Secure Delivery Center Basic Concepts Overview (i) Article, the small section describes the distribution manager, the delivery center, and the package & Library part of the content, in this article, the small series will continue to package & Library This part of the continued to introduce secure Delivery Center of some basic concepts, welcome you to enjoy the tasting!
Packages & Libraries
As shown, the software received from Genuitec can be myeclipse, Eclipse, or additional software. The administrator loads the software that is used to manage the distribution of the delivery center on the SDC server. From there, you can deliver a managed secure marketplace directory and security policy for installers based on other sources of Eclipse. Or, you can deliver the complete security catalog and custom IDE to end users.
The third type of package is the Eclipse RCP package. You can deliver RCP applications by using SDC to specify an RCP product in the Eclipse IDE package. There are two types of RCP deployment modes. The "Based on Package" method in SDC is intended to define an eclipse application or product at the top of a standard Eclipse pack. You can treat your software as a third-party software and then add it to the Eclipse package on the Software tab. The product line-up method can export products from the Eclipse IDE and then add them to a third-party library in SDC.
SDC allows administrators to delegate package management to teams to use the Advanced Team delegation feature. When this management method is used, the package takes a special attribute. For more information, please see Advanced Team delegation.
Library
A library is an additional additional software that you can include in your package. Libraries can form standard libraries such as Eclipse Discovery or Java, or they can form third-party update sites. When you add third-party software, you can specify a URL to access the software. You also have the option to expand which software is available, or choose which packages are available. The image of the software selected from the update site is placed on the central device, so when you add software to the package or allow the end user to install from the Secure Marketplace directory, the software is installed on the device in the delivery center, not on a Web site other than the firewall. You can also expose third-party software version control to users.
Management Console
The management console is where the SDC administrator manages all software delivery lifecycles. SDC administrators maintain high-level packages, updates, policies, and licenses. They execute the initial configuration of the package. Some SDC management tasks include:
Setting security and access policies
Create a package with a basic configuration
To add an external library for use with a package or secure marketplace directory
Test software configuration
Distributing packages to end users
View system usage metrics and monitor system health
Each step of the delivery lifecycle is processed in the management console and is listed on the Management console dashboard. This process mainly includes creating installation packages, testing, and final distribution software.
Starting with a jump from the delivery center, you can access every step of the distribution software. In this dashboard, you can manage upgrades, testing, and rollout of one or more packages. A package is software that contains the plugins and configurations you want to provide to the user.
The links below each step in the life cycle of the dashboard provide you with access to the relevant pages. When you configure the package, the notifications area prompts you to commit the local changes.
The management console also includes usage metrics such as the number of packages installed, the most used packages, and the release date. This information is useful for viewing the usage trend of software packages.
Purchase MyEclipse Team Authorization < Consulting online customer service, you can have secure Delivery center+myeclipse genuine license, the number of licenses according to the number of your team determined.
