A test plan should include: Product fundamentals, test requirements descriptions, test strategies and records, test resource configurations, schedule tables, issue tracking reports, review and results of test plans, and more.

Generic Test Plan Template

1. Software description

Provide an outline of the test plan by providing a chart that describes the function of the software under test and the quality indicators such as the input of good people output.

2. Test content

Lists the name identifiers for each item in the assembly test and confirmation test, the schedule of these tests, and the content and purpose of these tests, such as module functional testing, interface correctness testing, data access testing, run time testing, design constraints, and limit testing.

3. Test 1 (identifier)

The participating units and the parts of the test are given.

Schedule: Give the schedule of the test, including the date and work content (e.g., familiarity with the environment, training, preparation of input data, etc.).
