Software testing interview (I) how to test a cup

Similar problems often occur during software testing interviews. For example, how to test a cup or a pen. You are required to design more than 20 test cases.

This type of interview questions is to check whether the interviewer is familiar with various software testing methods, the ability to design test cases, and test sense.

First, ask the interviewer what the requirement is, for example, what kind of cup is.

Function Test)

1. Can I hold water,
2. In addition to water, can you hold other liquids. Such as cola and alcohol
3. How much water can be loaded?
4. Indicates whether the cup has a dial table.
5. Can a cup make tea and run coffee?
6. Whether the Cup can be placed in the refrigerator and made of ice
7. What is the material of the Cup (made of glass, plastic, and gold)

 

Ui Test)

1. Looks nice.
2. What color
3. What is the shape of the cup.
4. What is the weight of the cup?
5. Whether the cup smells bad
6. Is the pattern of the Cup reasonable?

 

Performance Test)

1. Can I pack 100-degree boiling water (TEA)
2. Can I pack 0-degree ice water?
3. Filled with water, whether it will leak after a few days
4. Whether the paint on the inner wall of the cup is easy to fall off.
5. Whether the color on the cup is easy to fade or fall off
6. Will it be broken down by my tank (this is a joke)

 

Security Test)

1. Whether the material of the cup is toxic
2. When you put it in the microwave oven, whether it will explode, or whether the cup will melt.
3. Whether it will break down when it falls to the cement floor from the table.
4. Is the cup prone to persistent bacteria?
5. Whether there is a gap in the cup, it will cut your mouth
6. Will the material on the inner wall of the Cup dissolve into water?
7. Will the broken cup cause harm to the user?

 

Availability Test)

1. Whether the cup is easy to burn
2. Is the cup good?
3. Is the cup water easy to drink?
4. Whether the cup has anti-skid measures

 

Summary

When I was not careful, I wrote more than 30 test cases. The next time I encounter a question like how to test a vending machine, I can easily answer the question based on the same idea.
