Upgrade to 12.10 In this notebook. However, the following error occurs during update:

Reading the package list... error! E: encountered a section with no package: headere: Problem with mergelist/VaR/Lib/APT/lists/cn.archive.ubuntu.com _ ubuntu_dists_quantal_multiverse_i18n_translation-Zhe: Unable to parse or open the package list or status file.

The reason is that the Deb source list of 12.04 conflicts with 12.10. The solution is to delete all files in the directory:

Sudo Rm-RF/var/lib/APT/lists /*
Then run the update command to generate a new one:
Apt-Get update
