Solution for disrecognizing optical drive on Windows 7

Recently, some users have found that the optical drive cannot be used after Windows 7 is installed. Before the installation, the optical drive is still good. What is the problem?

The optical drive cannot be identified. There are many reasons, such as hardware and software. For example, a new software or driver is installed, or the CMOS settings or CONFIG are accidentally modified. SYS configuration, or the machine may be infected with viruses. At present, it has been confirmed that the following types of DVD drive will be affected after Windows 7 is installed:
• Sony BC-5100S (DVD)
• Sony BC-5600S (DVD)
• TSST TS-L633B DVD +/-RW

If you are using one of the above three types of DVD drive, you can contact the seller directly to obtain the corresponding firmware update.
You can also disable ALPM in Windows 7. (Don't Worry. Although this feature is part of the power management plan in Windows 7, disabling it will not affect the built-in high-performance, balanced, and power-saving power supply solutions in the system .)
