Solution for Linux system users not logging in as normal

1. on Linux, after logging on with an oracle user, run [oracle @ h16oracle] $ sqlplusnologSQL * Plus: Release9.2.0.4.0

1. on Linux, after logging on with an Oracle user, run:

[Oracle @ h16 oracle] $ sqlplus/nolog

SQL * Plus: Release 9.2.0.4.0-Production on Tue Feb 19 16:42:38 2008

SQL> connect system/manager as sysdba;

Normal, but other Linux users cannot execute the above command, nor imp, and the prompt is:

SQL> connect system/manager as sysdba;
ERROR:
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

Solution:

Modify the system password:

SQL> alter user system identified by manager;
