Solution for identifying Treo 680 as an MTP Device

After installing the palm synchronization software in Windows 2003, 680 is always recognized as an MTP device, even after you manually update the USB driver (USB _driver in the palm installation directory.
Some people say that you can disable the synchronization of the ptunes computer. My system did not even install the ptunes software after this flash.

Finally found a solution today
1. Find the MTP device in the Device Manager.
2. Select "Update driver ".Program", Next step
3. Select "Install from list or specified location" and click Next.
4. "Do not search. I want to select the driver to install ". This step is very important. I used to manually select the driver path above.
5. Now, choose "MTP device" and "Palm handled" in the optional list.
6. OK. Start synchronization.

The latest Palm Desktop supports Windows 2003, Vista, and Windows 7 operating systems. I have used these systems, and there is no problem with synchronization, and no manual modification is required in 2003.
