The premise of this method is that the connectionstring you wrote is correct, such:

Provider = Microsoft. Jet. oledb.4.0; Data Source =; Jet oledb: Database Password = xxx;

If the system prompts "provider not found" or "improperly installed", the reason is that the information of the DLL of JET 4.0 is in the registry. For some reason, it is damaged or lost. The solution is as follows:

 Start ---> Run, enter regsvr32 msjetoledb40.dll, and press Enter.

We recommend that you restart the instance to solve the problem.
