Ubuntu is different from windows. It does not have a 32-bit compatible library by default on 64-bit Ubuntu. Therefore, you need to install it manually. It is not difficult to install it directly on the terminal: sudo apt-get install ia32-libs.
But today I reinstall Ubuntu (due to misoperations TO THE unity collapsed, too lazy to repair the direct redo) after the execution of sudo apt-get install ia32-libs * unexpectedly reported an error! The prompt is as follows:
Some software packages cannot be installed. If you are using an unstable release, this may be because the system cannot meet your requirements. In this version, some software packages you need may not be created or they have been removed from the new Incoming directory.
I thought it was another misoperation. Later I found the cause. It turns out that my Ubuntu Update Server is out of sync with the official server ...... So it is okay to transfer the software source to the master server. Although it is slower, it is always worse than installing it.
