Solution to CentOS 6.5 forgetting the root password
Press the "E" key on the keyboard at startup to enter the following interface.
Select the corresponding kernel, press "E" again, and then click "E" again.
After the second step, you can edit the screen, add "space" at the end of the information, and then type "single" (), or directly enter "1" of the number and press enter to go to the next step. The figure is as follows:
The third step appears after the operation. Does it feel like the second step is back? No. Press the "B" key on the keyboard to enter the boot system. Note: Here is the "B" key.
In the following figure, enter "#", "passwd root", reset the root password, enter the password again, and then enter the password twice.
If the password is successfully reset, a prompt is displayed. Enter reboot to restart the system, and the root password is reset.
