Solution to failure to connect to the Internet after Windows XP is installed on virtual machines
Many users have installed the XP system on virtual machines, but have found that they are unable to access the Internet after the installation is successful. So what is the cause? How can this problem be solved? The following describes how to solve the problem of network connection failure after the virtual machine has installed the XP system!
The procedure is as follows:
1. If the IP address is not obtained, the system will prompt that the network cable is not properly plugged in because the NIC of the virtual machine is not enabled, and the "connection" is added to the right of NIC in VM settings ". If the software is not hand-written, find the corresponding English settings;
2. If you have an IP address, check VM> Setting> Hardware> Network Adapter> Network connection first. This is the connection method of the virtual machine's Nic (some may be able to add multiple NICs to the machine;
A selects the first Bridged (BRIDGE), which means that the NIC of the virtual machine is connected to the NIC of the real machine on the same vswitch (router). If there is a DHCP server in the real environment, you can set the IP address to automatic;
If there is a DNS server in the real environment, you can set the DNS option to automatic. Otherwise, the virtual machine IP address is set to the same network segment of the real machine. The subnet mask, gateway, and DNS are all consistent with those of the real machine. (If you use ADSL to access the Internet, bridging is disabled );
B selects the second NAT, which means to connect to the "VMnet8" connected to the network on the real machine. Remember to enable the NIC VMnet8. If the DHCP and DNS services of the virtual machine are enabled, you only need the IP address and DNS automatically in the virtual machine. If you want to manually set it to the same network segment as VMnet8;
C. Select the third Host-only, which means to connect with "VMnet1" in the real machine. The settings are the same as above.
The above is the solution to the problem that the network cannot be connected after the virtual machine has installed the XP system. If you encounter such a problem, try the solution described in the small Editor.
