Solution to USB blaster Driver Installation failure

Solutions to problems reported by some customers that the USB blster driver cannot be installed

Many customers have reported that the USB blster driver cannot be installed. The specific situation is described as follows:

1. After the USB blster is inserted into the computer, the following prompt appears in the lower right corner of the screen:

The new hardware wizard appears.

Select to install from the list or a specified location (advanced)

Select "Install (advanced)" from the list or specified location and click "Next ".

In this step, select the location included in the search, point to the drivers \ USB-blster directory under the Quartus installation directory, and click Next

Finally, the system prompts that the hardware cannot be installed.

After my research, the reason is related to the customer's computer system,

1. Some customers' computers have installed other versions of Quartus

2. Some customers' computers have damaged USB blaster drivers.

And other causes.

The solution is as follows:

After this problem occurs, open the Administrator. Generally, two USB-blaster

As shown in

Select a USB-blster with an exclamation point and right-click it. A menu appears, and select Update driver.Program.....

Now hardware Update Wizard

Select to install from the list or from the specified position (advanced), and click Next

Select not to search. Select the driver to install and click Next.

Click Next

Select to install from disk

Click to browse

Will open a file search window, find

D: \ Altera \ 90 \ Quartus \ drivers \ USB-blaster directory. You need to change the path of your Quartus software installation.

In this example, Quartus is installed in the directory of disk D. You can select Quartus and click open.
