Solution to "invalid serial number" prompt during installation of XP SP3 for OEM

Microsoft finally officially released the XP SP3 patch on September 10, May 6. It is an ISO file containing SP3 (which is the same as the previous "leaked version.
After downloading it back, integrate it into Dell's oem xp SP2, and then perform the installation test. It is found that "the serial number is invalid" is prompted during the installation process ". It was quite surprising that integration into vol XP SP2 did not solve this problem, so I tried again with the serial number of vol. Does Microsoft really stop releasing the OEM version xp3?
After thinking about it, you must replace dpcdll in the i386 folder when changing the vol version to the OEM version. DLL, pidgen. DLL and other files, from the file name, pidgen. the DLL file appears to be related to the installation serial number (ID. If you replace the pidgen. dll file in SP2 with the pidgen. dll file in SP3, you may be fooled.
Just do it. Extract the pidgen. dll file of SP2 to overwrite the SP3 file immediately. Then, test again! Haha.
