Recently encountered a problem

When the word component is called, Windows 2003, 2008, and 7 are all correct.

Windows XP alone, but cannot find the Microsoft Word 97-2003 document option in the DCOM component

Query the records whose CLSID is 000209ff-0000-0000-c000-000000000046 in the registry.Program

It is found that there is a Microsoft Word application

It is the same as that in Windows 2008 and Windows 7.

But why isn't it in the DCOM component configuration? There is only one Microsoft Word document.

However, its appid is {00020906-0000-0000-c000-000000000046 },

Appid with CLSID 000209ff-0000-0000-c000-000000000046 in the Registry {00020906-0000-0000-c000-0000000000000046}

Is the same

It seems that this duplicate appid causes

Therefore, you only need to rename the following appid and name it the same as clsid {000209ff-0000-0000-c000-000000000046}

Refresh the DCOM component configuration and find an additional Microsoft Word application.

Configure permissions

Everything is OK!
