Problem: no exception occurs after Fedora9 is installed. All NICs can automatically obtain the IP address through DHCP. However, once I made some Settings Using system-config-network/NetworkManager, I only modified Hosts. After saving and restarting, I found that all my network cards were not available. All network cards except wireless must be manually started. Firefox works in Offline mode by default, as if it is another network path

However, once I made some Settings Using system-config-network/NetworkManager, I only modified Hosts. After saving and restarting, I found that all my network cards were not available. All network cards except wireless must be manually started. Firefox works in Offline mode by default. It seems that other network programs, such as gaim, cannot work normally.
Solution:
I searched the internet. This may be a problem with the network management program. My solution is:
Open the Network Management Program, select a nic, double-click or edit it, and select "Contrlled by NetworkManager" for the NIC. Save and exit. After the NIC is restarted, it will work normally.
Some people suggest closing the network management program. I have not tried it, but it should be easy to use. If you do not want to use NetworkManager, you can disable it as follows:
$ Service NetworkManager stop
Or
$/Etc/rc. d/init. d/NetwotkManager stop
Or disable services permanently in the "services" list.
