For the first installation, Ubuntu10.10 is selected. The interface is beautiful and practical, saving time for configuration. But immediately after installation, a problem occurs: plug in the headset with sound, but the speaker does not sound. After a while, I finally found a solution (which is effective in Ubuntu test): 0. First, make sure that your voice is not too small (the sound options on the Panel can be considered alsamixer ), or the speaker is faulty. If so, God cannot save you ...... This problem may be caused by more than one reason. We recommend that you replace the relevant files before modification.

0. First, make sure that your voice is not too small (the sound options on the Panel can be considered alsamixer) or the speaker is faulty. If so, God cannot save you ......

There may be more than one reason for this problem. We recommend that you back up the relevant files before modification. If the modification is invalid, you can change it back.

1. First check the sound card chip. Code: head-n 1/proc/asound/card0/codec:

==>/Proc/asound/card0/codec #0 <==

Codec: Analog Devices AD1986A

==>/Proc/asound/card0/codec #1 <==

Codec: lsi id 1040

(Sudo if you have permission issues. This is the configuration of my machine. Different machines may display different models. Remember the sound card model)

2. Take a look at the configuration file of ALSA. zless code is required here because it is compressed text: zless/usr/share/doc/alsa-base/driver/HD-Audio-Models.txt.gz find the sound card corresponding to several lines:

(I personally think it is not convenient to directly browse through the terminal. You can enter nautilus/usr/share/doc/alsa-base/driver on the terminal. Then, start hd-audio-models.txt.gz and use gedit to edit the file and press Ctrl + f to find it. My sound card corresponds to the following)

AD1986A

========

6stack6-jack, separate surrounds (default)

3stack3-stack, shared surrounds

Laptop2-channel only (FSC V2060, Samsung M50)

Laptop-eapd2-channel with EAPD (ASUS A4.7)

Laptop-automute 2-channel with EAPD and HP-automute (Lenovo N100)

Ultra2-channel with EAPD (Samsung Ultra tablet PC)

Samsung2-channel with EAPD (Samsung R65)

Samsung-p502-channel with HP-automute (Samsung P50)

There are a lot of models below. Try to select the model corresponding to your model. If it doesn't work, use common sense.

3. Edit the basic configuration code of your ALSA: sudo gedit/etc/modprobe. d/alsa-base.conf, add options snd-hda-intel model = (add the first half of the model you selected here, such as laptop-automute ), save, exit, and restart.
