First let's talk about my notebook configuration: CPU: i3-2310M/memory: 4 GB (actual 2.95gb available because it is a 32-bit System)/graphics: GT 550 m (Display memory 2 GB) /Hard Disk: 500 GB
When only Vs and SQL Server are installed, the startup speed of my computer is usually about 32 seconds, but after I installed Oracle 10 Gb yesterday, the startup speed of the computer suddenly slows down to 130 seconds, that is, after oracle is installed, the startup time of the computer increases by about 100 seconds. After analysis, it should be because the Oracle-installed Service is automatically started upon startup.
To solve the problem of slow startup caused by SQL and Oracle Installation, you can change the Automatic startup items to manual ones and manually start them when you need to connect to the database. The following summarizes the SQL and Oracle services, and lists which can be temporarily disabled and which can be changed from automatic to manual.
SQL Server:
Related Services
There are a total of six SQL Server services on my machine. Of course, this is related to the different features selected during installation. The functions of these services are described above. I won't bother here. To use SQL Server properly, you must start only two services, the MSSQLServer database master service and the mssqlfdlauncher full-text search service (this service starts and stops along with the database master service ).
Start method:
Type 2: run the following command: Net start service name (MSSQLServer here) and stop the corresponding command: net stop service name.
2nd types: Services starting with SQL in the computer/management/service through the service window.
ORACLE:
Related Services
Service Introduction:
Oracledbconsoleorcl: console service. You only need to use the Oracle Enterprise Manager in a browser to start this service. Generally, You can manually disable it.
Oraclejobschedulerorcl: timer service, which generally does not need to be started.
Oracleoradb10g_home1isql * Plus: iSQL * Plus service, which must be started only When iSQL * Plus is used on the web page.
Oracleoradb10g_home1tnslistener: Listener service. If a client needs to connect to the database, this service must be enabled, so this service must be started.
Oracleserviceorcl: the primary service of the database. This service must be started before oracle can be used. Therefore, this service must be started.
Generally, Oracle only has two services to start, oracleoradb10g_home1tnslistener and oracleserviceorcl.
