Solve the Problem of garbled characters when using crontab to execute shell scripts

Source: Internet
Author: User

I wrote a shell script to maintain the test environment, used crontab Scheduling for scheduled execution, and encountered a garbled problem. The script runs directly in the shell environment without any questions.

The conclusion is that crontab does not carry the user's environment variables during execution. Some system variables are missing and garbled characters are displayed when it comes to Chinese. You need to add the missing environment variables in the script. For Chinese problems, you need to declare the Lang parameter.

Add at the beginning of the script:
Lang = "en_US.UTF-8"
Export Lang

The encoding must be consistent with that set by the system. For details, go to/etc/sysconfig/i18n to view the corresponding environment variables.
