Solve the Problem of IIS 0x8ffe2740

The "default website" in the Internet information service manager always displays a red "Error". When it is started, the system prompts "iis cannot be started and an unexpected Error occurs: 0x8ffe2740 ".

Cause: if there is a port conflict in the system, this situation may occur. IIS uses port 80 by default for HTTP Communication.

Solution: To solve this problem, you can perform any of the following operations:
(1) In IIS manager, change the website binding port to a port other than port 80.
(2) Stop the application that is using port 80, and then start the website from IIS manager.
