Problem:
Today, I got a server, plugged in the optical drive, and re-installed System 2003. Drive C is in the fat format (ghost recovery), while drive C is in the NTFS format, therefore, the system will prompt whether to convert the NTFS format (Select Yes and restart the automatic conversion format ). when a mobile hard disk is inserted, the drive letter is missing.
Solution:
1. check whether there is a problem with the connection line or the voltage is insufficient. Everything is normal in the current book, and this problem is ruled out.
2. Check whether the driver is working properly. Right-click my computer and choose System Tools> Device Manager> disk drive. You can see the inserted mobile hard disk and the drive is working properly.
3. in this step, the drive letter is not allocated. right-click my computer-> Manage-> storage-> disk management, or press start-> run to input diskmgmt. MSC enables disk management. in this way, you can see the unallocated hard disk, right-click the unallocated disk, change the drive name and path, then the system will give the drive letter, and click OK.
