Right-click the connection you are currently using (for example, I am using an ADSL connection) and select Properties. All the hooks are marked, then, select the name of the VMware network adapter vmnet1 connection in the home network connection. Like this:

 

Select VMware network adapter vmnet1 connection, select properties, and double-clickInternet Protocol Version 4, Set the IP address manually. The default value is 192.168.137.1. Be sure not to connect to the same network segment as you are currently using.

The settings on the host are complete. Run the virtual machine. The virtual machine I installed is Windows Server 2008 R2. Set the connection in use in the virtual machine as just now, and set my connection as local, set the IP address to the same network segment of the VMware network adapter vmnet1 on the same host, 192.168.137.2 can be used, the subnet mask is used by default, and the gateway is set to the address of VMware network adapter vmnet1, that is, 192.168.137.1. In addition, you can set the DNS on your own.

Finally, select the virtual machine settings and set the network adapter to host-only,

Now, you can access the Internet in the VM.
