The expansion of a company, not only to ensure that the effect of the current civil renovation is not destroyed, but also to meet the network expansion and the actual needs of the enterprise work, at the same time to ensure that the investment is not too big. After in-depth analysis and research, decided to adopt Wireless LAN group network to solve the problem of network expansion, network topology as shown in Figure 1-1.

Figure 1-1 Topology Map

In order to better the analysis of diagram 1-1 topology, we use the following solutions to the detailed analysis of the problem, and then to reach the knowledge points related to the mastery of proficiency level.

"Question 1"

The ieee802.11a,802.11b,802.11g are compared in terms of working band, data transmission rate, advantages and disadvantages, and compatibility between them.

"Question 2"

1. Fill in the name of the vacant equipment (1) at the corresponding position.

2, (1) in the local area network PC and notebook IP address what kinds of distribution mode? When installing (1), how do I configure these methods?

3, the PC or notebook wireless network card configuration, "Encryption" item value is how to determine?

4. After the configuration is completed, what command is used to test the wireless network connectivity?

"Question 3"

Describes the process by which WLAN users log on through a RADIUS server.

"Question 1" Analysis notes

1, IEEE 802.11a

1999, the IEEE 802.11a standard was completed, the standard for unlimited LAN working band in 5.15ghz-5.825ghz, data transmission rate reached 54mb/s, transmission distance control in 10m-100m. 802.11A uses orthogonal frequency Division multiplexing (OFDM) unique spread spectrum technology, can provide 25MB/S wireless ATM interface and 10MB/S Ethernet wireless frame Structure interface, as well as TDD/TDMA air interface, support voice, data, image services, a sector can access multiple users, Each user can take multiple user terminals.

2, IEEE 802.11b

September 1999 IEEE 802.11B formally approved, the Standard Rules for unlimited LAN working band in 2.4-2.4835ghz, data transmission rate reached 11mb/s. The standard is a supplement to IEEE 802.11, the use of point-to-point mode and the basic mode of the two modes of operation, in the data transmission rate can be based on the actual situation in 11mb/s, 5.5mb/s, 2mb/s, 1mb/s speed between the different rates of automatic switching, and in 2mb/s, 1mb/ s rate is compatible with 802.11. 802.11 b uses direct sequence dsss as a protocol. 802.11B is incompatible with 802.11A standard working on 5GHz frequencies.

3, ieee802.11g

The IEEE 802.11g standard is to speed up the popularity of 802.11b (11mb/s from 802.11b to 54mb/s). 802.11g access point supports 802.11B and 802.11g client devices. Similarly, laptops with 802.11g network adapters can access existing 802.11B access points and new 802.11g access points.
