Some common experience notes on Windows 8

It has been one month since Microsoft released the Windows 8 preview version. During this time, I tried the Windows 8 operating system. Today, I will briefly introduce my experience in this blog for readers to learn. It should be noted that this article only represents my personal point of view and has nothing to do with Microsoft.

Basically, I personally feel that Windows XP replaced Windows 2000 on the surface, which was a huge leap. Therefore, Windows XP ruled the global PC for eight or nine years; since then, Windows 7 has replaced Windows XP, which is another huge leap. Therefore, Windows 7 has continuously created new sales records. Windows 8, "It seems" is another huge leap on the "interface shell", but many of them have similar experience.

It seems that there is no problem at first glance, because if you have been using Windows 7, you can get started with Windows 8 in a short time, and may soon like Windows 8. However, if we think that Windows 8 is just a "Windows 7 + Metro interface", it would be a big mistake. In fact, the biggest change in Windows 8 is the "internal" design philosophy. Since Windows 8, Microsoft will provide a unified operation experience for desktops, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, and even televisions. Imagine how cool and convenient it will be for you in the near future, regardless of whether you use any device, to achieve consistent operation and experience ~! Therefore, in the future, Windows 8 will truly "dominate the world ".

After introducing the overall experience, we will introduce the detailed user experience for Windows 8 as follows:

1. Unified experience: "Metro start interface"
The Metro interface is the biggest change in Windows 8 compared with Windows 7. This interface will quickly unify the operation experience of desktops, mobile phones, tablets, and even TVs in the next few years. Although the initial design concept of the Metro interface emphasizes "concise and clear", it uses a striking monochrome allocation to display the application information in a large font, however, in the future, with the continuous improvement and enrichment of applications, such interfaces may become complicated. At that time, let's look at your personal preferences. In Windows 8, you should provide the setting function so that you can choose whether to retain the single-tone movable tile, gradient color, or beautiful background color tile. After all, "radish cabbage, each has its own Love.

2. The horizontal scroll wheel of the mouse will become standard
Due to the existence of the "Panoramic View", Windows 8 has many applications similar to the "pure brightness River View", that is, a particularly wide "scroll" interface, each aspect is a separate content interface. In such applications, the horizontal scroll wheel is particularly necessary. Therefore, in the future, the horizontal scroll wheel on the mouse will become the standard configuration for Windows 8. Hardware vendors, hurry up!

3. Confirmation is no longer required for deletion.
In Windows 8, when deleting a file, you do not need to click "confirm to delete ". That is to say, when you click "delete" on a file, it will be directly moved to the recycle bin. The reason for this change may be based on a large number of statistics. I still remember a previous report saying that when most people delete a file, they would habitually click "confirm deletion" immediately. Therefore, the pop-up confirmation window is just like this. At the beginning, it may be a bit difficult, but soon you will find that this change is convenient for users.

4. How do I close the Metro application?
In Windows 8, if you open the application on the pure Metro interface from the Metro interface, you will find that the button is not closed. Perhaps this is to be consistent with the experience on mobile devices such as mobile phones. So if you want to exit this application, you can only press the Windows key on the keyboard.

5. Increase in the number of Metro applications
At present, it may be because Windows 8 has only released the preview version. The existing Metro-style applications are still very scarce. For example, there are only three weather-related Metro applications, and only one supports "Celsius" temperature display. But in general, Metro-style applications are still very interesting, and Live Tile is still very magical and easy to get fascinated. In addition, there are currently no domestic Win8 Metro apps, which is a huge business opportunity ~!
