Some insights after reading "Strange Life"

It was written a year ago and sent to the present self.

Three months ago, a very accidental opportunity. I found the book "Strange Life", when it was the hardest part of my graduation, every day hoping, like a machine, no specific ideas, just to earn a living, to confide in some of the ideas are complaints.

The first time I opened this book did not hold any hope, because I do not think a book can completely save a person, in fact, to now also did not count to save me, just let people's mentality has changed, after reading my day to imitate Liubischeff to get a diary, I try to use the way the protagonist in the book to record everyday life, Every Saturday night will give oneself this week to make a relatively rough summary, at the same time set the next week's goal, unknowingly now has insisted on fast two months, these two months for me has not undergone a radical change, but in the nuances of life I can obviously feel that they have changed, become active in life, I insist on reading every day, work hard every day, as little as possible to complain about external conditions, I understand that people in this life only time is their own, so I learn to cherish their own time, learn to find the beauty of life, learn to make oneself become an interesting person.

Here is an experimental process for me to try Willow's time management method:

With a simple Excel file named your own diary, in this file, each page represents one months, the summary cycle is counted in a week, each Saturday will do a summary and plan for the next week, the records include transaction management, Idea, plan, summarize four, All content is as small as possible to contain personal feelings (if there is a feeling to express can be written in separate essays to record).

Transaction management is actually the most basic time to do the specific meaningful things you do every day, such as the April 23 record is as follows:

----------------------------------------------------

2014/4/23

Meeting (1 hours 30 minutes)

VDEC decoding first frame rate is 0 (1 hours)

Automatically download compilation scripts (1 hours)

Finishing post-work tasks (1 hours)

Processing Jira transactions (1 hours)

Operation Emacs (40 mins)

Linux timed Execution script (20 minutes)

Read "People in One Direction" (50 minutes)

Read "Don Quijote" (40 mins)

Total: 8 hours

----------------------------------------------------

Idea is that every week I keep a record of some of the ideas that I feel good about, which may be put into practice this week, and may not be urgent, but may be included in future plans, such as ideas from the third week of April:

----------------------------------------------------

Idea

    • Continue to explore how to improve their efficiency;

    • Read the "informed weekly" subscription on the watercress;

    • People should have a little hobby, my hobby is tossing Emacs, two for tossing Mathematica;

----------------------------------------------------

The plan is drawn up every Saturday for the next week, and these will be refined into specific daily matters, and whenever a plan is completed, try to make a record, because I think a plan should be formulated with clear purpose, execution, and harvest, as in the third week of April, as in the following example:

----------------------------------------------------

Plan:

    • Read "Don Quijote";

    • Start reading "Code Encyclopedia";

    • have free research on Emacs;

    • Continue reading the fractal geometry of nature;

----------------------------------------------------

The summary is also done on every Saturday night, concluding that a brief summary of the time of the week's handling of the transaction may be a simple record of satisfactory or unsatisfactory things to remind yourself that the third week of April is summarized as follows:

----------------------------------------------------

Focus can definitely improve one's efficiency and job satisfaction, which is the biggest harvest of the week.

Absolute time of week total: 44 hours 49 minutes

Reading time: 16 hours 50 minutes

Emacs Time: 3 hours 15 minutes

----------------------------------------------------

Above is my "strange life" refined out of their own time management experiments, at the beginning of some not accustomed to, feel what things to do to the specific time to do it, the evening back to import into the diary, the initial two or three weeks of insistence is not easy, But it is from these weeks after the formal experiment my life attitude has a very obvious change, I more and more cherish their time, every day feel their time is not enough, I have a lot of things to do, time every second in the sneak away, I constantly urge themselves, over and over tell themselves, life is really precious, Since live to let this second live meaningful, so unconsciously I insist on this experiment has been almost 3 months, a day has not interrupted, in this period, this experiment let me become self-disciplined, optimistic, diligent, thank Liubischeff, in this most difficult years let me learn this valuable experience.
