Sound problems in "Remote Desktop Connection"
Q: When using the "Remote Desktop Connection" that comes with XP/03 to connect to XP, it is okay to set "bring the sound to this computer" or "Stay on the remote computer" in the options. But when I connect to 03, why is there no sound? What should I do?
A: We will discuss it in two aspects.
1. Connect to 03, and bring the sound to this computer.
Method 1: Start/Program/management tool/terminal service configuration/RDP-TCP/right-click/properties/client settings on 03 to disable audio ing.
Method 2: The local policy is used. Location: Local Policy \ Computer Configuration \ management template \ Windows component \ Terminal Service \ Client Server data redirection \ audio redirection is allowed, the default value is "not configured ". But XP is not configured = enabled, 03 is not configured = disabled.
So change the settings of computer 03 to "enable" and then connect to the computer. Note: The policy setting has a high priority and will overwrite the terminal service configuration.
2. Connect to 03. The voice is "left on a remote computer.
First, we need to understand that remote desktop is connected to XP, which is equivalent to remote control. After taking over the local session of XP, the local desktop of XP is automatically locked. Remote Desktop Connection to 03 is equivalent to creating a new session. In the end, it is necessary to connect to XP as follows: to keep the sound on remote computer 03, you can only use remote control.
Solution:
Method 1: Use start/run: MMC/Add/Remote Desktop to connect. It indicates that the "Remote Desktop" of MMC is connected to 03, and the local desktop of 03 is automatically locked, just as the Remote Desktop Connection is used to connect to XP.
Method 2: implement remote control of Terminal Services. The details are as follows:
1. First, connect to the target computer on the Remote Desktop and create a session (the connection option is "bring to this computer", of course, it is actually plug in locally ).
2. Connect to target 03 on another computer and create a session. In this session, start/Program/management tools/Terminal Service Manager, find the previous session, and select remote control.
Note:
Both methods must be enabled locally on the target computer (or connected to your own session) first, and then play a media clip. Otherwise, an error occurs: the sound card cannot be found.
In addition, the performance of different players is also different. Windows Media players cannot use the above methods. Other RealONE, realplay, and Winamp are no problem.

For how to connect to 03, I also tried a method to "stay on a remote computer ".
You can create a Remote Desktop Connection and set the options on the page, such as the computer name and password in general, of course, the most important thing is that the remote computer sound in the local resource tab is selected to stay in the remote computer. After all settings are complete, go back to the General tab and click Save as, for example, save it to the C: \ win2003.rdp file, enter the command prompt mode, type mstsc c: \ win2003.rdp/console, and press enter to connect to the remote computer. Use mediaplayer to play MP3 and the sound will be output to the Speaker of the remote computer.
The parameter/console of the command line mode of mstsc is that the console session can be automatically locked when it is connected to Windows.
Note: The console session is the only session that can be used for remote desktop on Windows XP Professional.
For other parameters, enter mstsc /? Obtain relevant information
