Source problems in shell scripts

Source: Internet
Author: User

I encountered a problem today,

The shell script (test. Sh) is as follows:

#! /Bin/shecho "Export monitor = 1">/etc/profilesource/etc/profile

After the call (./test. Sh), execute echo $ monitor without outputting any value, but the profile has already been written

Run echo $ monitor again after manual source/etc/profile, and output the expected value.

The source/etc/profile in the script is not successful. How can this problem be solved?

Analysis:

When test. Sh is executed, the monitor has a value, but test. Sh is executed in a shell. After test. Sh is executed, the shell exits.
Back to the main user login shell, because the sub-process environment variables do not affect the parent process, so there is no value for ECHO.

You can use source test. Sh
