Since 2000, when the Struts framework was released, by the end of 2001 hibernate, and then by the 2004 spring, the Java Community's Open source philosophy is: "Do only one thing, do what is best, and leave other things to others." "But by the year 2005, Java Open Source has been the trend of framework integration, the entire Java open source community has sprung up a batch of Full-stack framework, more famous Rife, grails, jboss seam, trails and able and so on." Springside is also such an integration framework, often stroll blogjava people will certainly not unfamiliar, because its eldest brother is Jiangnan White.
Using Springside can save us a lot of time and avoid the effort we spend on consolidating the various open source components. Springside also has two other advantages, one is rich in documents, all Chinese Oh, two is a rich tool, can support us to use ant, eclipse or idea and other tools to develop. I'm using Eclipse 3.2, and in the process of using it, I found that Springside is a little bit of a problem for Eclipse Plug-ins, but these small problems can be solved smoothly with the right settings.
Let's start the Springside journey.
First of all, of course, download Springside, you can visit its official website www.springside.org.cn, I downloaded is 2.0-m1-all in one version, is the latest version of the current. Refer to Quick start on the official website for installation and experience: Http://wiki.springside.org.cn/display/springside/Quickstart.
Then, the org.springside.eclipse_1.0.0 in the Tools\springside-tools\eclipse-plugins folder under the Springside directory. The jar is copied to eclipse's plugins directory, as shown in the following illustration:
After you start eclipse, you can see that a new menu item appears in the Menus bar:
Clicking on the menu item will show you the wizard for the new project, we'll create a new item Xkland, and just select struts and hibernate, as shown below:
