Updatt_contract_salebusiness_baseinfo set totalreceivables = totalreceivables + 123


 

Since null + x = NULL, if totalreceivables = NULL, the expected results will not be obtained.

 

Solution

 

Update t_contract_salebusiness_baseinfo
Set totalreceivables = isnull (totalreceivables, 0) + 123

 

This problem also occurs when two character fields are connected.

 

Select top 10 (isnull ([firstname], '') +'' + isnull ([middlename], '') +'' + isnull ([lastname], '') as fullname from [adventureworks2008]. [person]. [person]
