SQL Server 2000 always stops automatically

I don't know when to start, My SQL Server 2000 always stops automatically, so I am very worried. I have ruled out the virus and other reasons. I searched the internet and found it was the fault of mdac2.8, you only need to reinstall it. After mdac2.8 is downloaded and installed, the system prompts that the version is incompatible. As a result, I searched for the relevant information and reproduced the following solution:

If you cannot see Windows To the INF directory, perform the following steps:
Choose Start> my computer> Tools> folders> options
Click to view
Under advanced settings, click show hidden files and folders
Remove the option to hide the extension of a known file.
Click application and click OK.
InWindows Under the INF directory, right-click MDAC . Inf, select install
When you are prompted to insert the WINXP SP2 disc, select the following method to insert the disc to the optical drive.  
If you are welcome to use WINXP, click to exit
Click Browse
Enter the drive letter in the file name, including the i386 directory. If your drive is a drive D, enter
Click to open
Or directly enter % SystemRoot % \ Windows \ Servicepackfiles \ i386 click to open
You may also be prompted to insert a WINXP SP2 disc for system installation. The above steps may solve the problem of accessing the ADO database.
